Remove the plastic cover round the steering column.
Find the electrical plug connecting the key reader round the ignition key barrel.
Round the ignition is the key reader, pull out the plug
Pull off the panel under the steering wheel.

This bypass will fit all Traffic models from 2002 to 2008 including standard and modified Van’s people carriers & disability vans.

IF THE RED IMMOBILISER LIGHT STAYS ON CONSTANT WITH THE IGNITION ON THE BYPASS WILL NOT WORK!!
If the red LED immobiliser light on the dashboard flashes while the engine turns over but the engine will not start this product is for you.
Pull down this cover to expose the socket
You will see the diagnostic / programming / OBD (onboard diagnostic) socket.
Socket to plug in the bypass
Plug in the bypass unit.
Plug in the bypass
The bypass has a single wire attached, plug the end of the wire into the electrical plug that was plugged into the key reader.
Insert the wire from the bypass
The immobiliser is now bypassed.
All the pannels can be put back into position.
The key reader is no longer used.
The bypass will stay plugged in for the rest of the life of the vehicle.
If diagnostics are required / you need to use the diagnostic / programming / OBD socket the bypass can be un-plugged and re-plugged back, the bypass is only required to start the van once started the bypass can be removed the van will carry on unitill a re-start is required
The Red immobiliser light will still flash as normal, when the car is started the light will go out.
The remote control central locking will carry on working as normal, if it was working (this bypass will NOT repair the remote central locking)
Any key that fits the ignition will start the car, this can be a plain key with no electronics.
The bypass will not change any settings on the vehicle, this will not affect the central door locking, erase any keys or programme keys, the bypass can be removed and no changes will be made to your vehcle
The bypass will NOT work if any ECU (electronic control box) has been changed, a new engine has been put in, the bypass will NOT programme new ECU’s keys repair broken wires blown fuses or flat batterys
